Bad Afternoon/Good Night

So this afternoon 6 of us decided to work on our group projects that are due on Thursday. Our group of 3, Jason, Christy and I, whom still hadn't chosen a topic yet, decided to go to the school library to find some books. We had to pick one topic from our class we've been taking, "The History of South Africa" and for some reason we thought Zionism would be a good choice. NOT! There was definitely one book in the Cornerstone library on Zionism. One book just didn't cut it. So we decided that we'd go with the 3 others, Emily, Ryan, and Allison to the libraray "just down the street" NOT! It was a 40 minute walk to the "library down the street" By the time we all got there no one had the patience to do a project and find books. Our group changed our topic a millions times, never found any books, and walked out of there will no books in our hands, plus we were all crabby and wished we never walked all that way for nothing. I was NOT in a good mood. So I walked home by myself to "get away" from the stresses of group projects. We told each other we'd call one another once we "settled down" from the chaos of the afternoon.

So 9 o'clock comes around and no one had called me about our presentation....I thought, hmmm, maybe I should call Jason and Christy. I tried both their numbers and they were busy. Astrid(my host sister) was sitting right next to me, and as soon as I hung up the phone I thought about my Christmas break conversations with ALL my friends back home. yes, all of the prank calls that I made with Sarah Taxis. I told her all about them and said, "wouldn't it be fun if we did it to all the Bethel students?" she said "yes!" So I gave the permission to Astrid to call a few special people for a little fun tonight. Let me tell you, she was amazing!!! Outstandind accent, plus a great hidden identity "the lady at the beach who you smiled at, who happens to go to Cornerstone" That was my entertainment for the night. We got Hannah and Rachel, and Allison almost until the identity was revealed(my fault). I could not stop laughing during all the phone calls, yet Astrid kept a straight face. I think I have someone to learn from!

anyway, the day ended up not to be so bad after all. even though I didn't get ANY of my project done.

talk to you soon, Anna
